The Small Ponds: From Raleigh to Austin: A Story of Success...and so far one really great video...
Currently in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas after another amazing night at the White Water Tavern. We shared a great show with our travel companions My Cousin, The Emperor and an awesome band from Murfreesboro, TN called Glossary. The previous night we had been in Knoxville at Patrick Sullivan's, a favored Old City whore house to the locals. In the performance space you can still see the plaster remains of where many walls divided the place into little sex dens. Culture!
But most importantly on our trip so far, we have made a quite enjoyable music video to one of our 2011 Love Hangover selections, "Something Stupid". Please enjoy it, and please pass it on!
Hey guys!! I love the tune...but I think we're only able to see the "left" half of the video. I don't think this was intentional--take another look. Here's to another great show!!! Come back to Raleigh soon...
Matt Douglas is the most modest and understated asshole you will ever meet. He has a degree from NYU, a Fulbright Scholarship under his belt, is the leader of a band called The Proclivities, and a co-leader of The Small Ponds with Caitlin Cary. He is not outwardly as edgy as you are, but he totally resents you for it.
